crash the US economy and make Obama look bad, but all the people who are likely Obama voters were smart enough to move on to smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles after the last two price spikes. The only people who are still tooling around in giant trucks and SUVs tend to be conservatives who are too stubborn to give up their giant vehicles.
Now, Big Oil and Republican SuperPacs are doing everything they can to manipulate oil markets, drive up gas prices and to try to make Obama look bad but in the process they’re doing twice as much financial damage to Conservative Republicans than they are to likely Obama supporters.

Yea it is very ironic… I mean hey, I’ve been daytrading stocks over this past year and watched barrels of oil go up up up down down down up up up… with minimal effect on the actual price of a gallon of gas at the pump. Seriously, had a neighbor even quiz me on this a few months ago. Seems very odd that all of a sudden.. as we head in to the election year… suddenly gas prices are peaking when I know damn well it has nothing to do with the price of a barrel of oil on the market.
‘Likely Obama supporters’ will likely support him regardless of anything else.
You are aware that oil is used for much MUCH more than gas, right? Your small cars are not reducing your grocery bill.
EDIT: So there are no petroleum derivatives in plastics? Fertilizers? The list goes on and on.

Oil…….. is going through the roof because Obama is beating the war drums with Iran. We, nor anyone cares where the oil comes from. Only that it keeps pumping.
